A day before my schools home coming, all HISD schools had been cancelled for two weeks because of the Corona virus. Since the virus seemed to be more harmful than expected, the cancellation has been extended to May 4th and it’s possible to be extended for the rest of the school year. This has caused every student to begin online learning ,which is very annoying because as an only child I would be able to see all my friends at school and now I must stay at home and continue learning on my laptop. I also imagine many other students upset because it’s their last aof high school and they won’t be able to experience that with their friends. Write about your role model or someone you admire. What makes them special?

Nikkie de Jager, a role model, is a makeup artist who owns her own channel on YouTube. She is known for her outstanding makeup looks which catches the attention of many viewers. Recently Nikkie has came out as transgender explaining that someone was threatening to post her sexual identity if she had not said it herself. She then posted a video of her coming out so that the people threatening her wouldn’t have the power to expose her . She later states that she is proud of herself for being transgender and that anyone who is should also feel proud as well. Her coming out has opened many opportunities, for example she was a guest on the Ellen show. Nikki’s story of her coming out has given many others courage others to do the same which makes her an amazing role model.

My name is Brianna and I go to East Wood academy in Houston, Texas. I’m an only child and I am in the 9th grade. Some of my hobbies are watching shows like “The Office” and cheer. I also love listening to artist like Clairo, Lana Del Rey, and Billie Elish. Some interest I have are makeup and conspiracy theories and comedy films. My favorite film is “step brothers” because it stars my favorite actor, Will Ferrell.

On July 28th a gorgeous dog with mixed fur, blue and brown eyes walked up to the doorsteps of my cousins porch. An hour passed and we expected the dog to leave, but the dog never did. After hours of the dog not leaving, my Uncle drove around the neighborhood to see any “missing dog” posters. Luckily my Uncle found a missing dog poster with a picture resembling the dog. He called the number and the owner came later on that night to pick up their beautiful dog.
